πŸ‘€ Appearance
Purple Flamingo remains one of the more visually memorable cultivars we have seen from Heavyweight Heads at Goldflower. Deep purple runs throughout the flower alongside brighter green sections and dense orange pistils, while a heavy layer of resin gives the buds an immediate frosted appearance. The flower is extremely sticky in hand, and the microscope views reinforce just how extensive the trichome production is. Gland heads cover the calyxes, smaller leaves, and folds throughout the bud with impressive consistency. The combination of vivid coloration, dense structure, and abundant resin was one of the qualities that caught our attention the first time we reviewed Purple Flamingo earlier this year, and this batch continues that visual identity.

πŸ‘ƒ Aroma
The aroma is bright and immediately present. Sweet creamy candy leads with a mouth-watering richness, while fresh floral notes bring a lighter character into the mix. Warm spice becomes more apparent underneath, giving the aroma additional definition alongside a soft earthy background. Each part remains easy to recognize, with the creamy sweetness carrying the greatest presence. The intensity coming from these sticky buds makes Purple Flamingo especially inviting before consumption, and the combination of candy, florals, and spice remains one of the cultivar’s most recognizable qualities.

πŸ‘… Flavor
Purple Flamingo carries its sweet character directly onto the palate with creamy candy and cake-like notes at the center of the experience. Citrus cream brings brightness through the exhale, followed by light herbal and floral accents and a touch of warm spice. The flavors are smooth and rounded across the palate, giving the sweeter flavors enough time to linger after consumption. The dessert character remains the strongest impression, but the citrus, floral, herbal, and spice elements give the flavor more dimension than sweetness alone. That combination continues to make Purple Flamingo easy to recognize.

🧠 Effects
The onset was rapid, bringing an upbeat lift in energy and mood early in the experience. With additional dosing, the physical side became increasingly noticeable and settled into a comfortable body relaxation. The early energy made Purple Flamingo feel especially well suited to an afternoon session, while the later physical release gave it a completely different usefulness as the experience continued. I could also see this being an excellent post-workout option, where that initial lift followed by deeper body relaxation would fit especially well.

βœ… Overall
We came back to Purple Flamingo because it was a standout when we first reviewed it earlier this year, and this October batch gave us a good reason to revisit it. The qualities that originally made the cultivar memorable are still here: vivid purple and green flower, exceptional resin production, sticky texture, creamy candy sweetness, fresh florals, warm spice, and a satisfying progression from upbeat energy into body relaxation. The new COA makes the revisit even more interesting. Our earlier batch tested at 21.4% THC with 1.79% total terpenes, while this release reaches 25.4% THC and 2.13% total terpenes. Those numbers alone do not define the quality of a cultivar, but seeing both increase while Purple Flamingo continues to deliver the characteristics we enjoyed the first time suggests that this Gelato pheno is continuing to develop very well in cultivation. Heavyweight Heads has a distinctive cultivar here, and Goldflower continues to bring out the qualities that made Purple Flamingo worth revisiting.
