๐Ÿ‘€ Appearance
Two larger nugs made up this entire 3.5 gram eighth, with dense green flower, vivid orange pistils, and resin that immediately dominates the surface. The microscope view is almost all trichomes โ€” crowded gland heads stack over the calyxes, push into the folds, and frost the smaller leaf edges until patches of green nearly disappear beneath them. Many of the heads remain intact and clearly defined, giving the flower a thick, lively resin field instead of a flat dusting of frost. Between the size of the two nugs and the sheer amount of visible resin, Key Lime Pie looked every bit as loud as it smelled once the mylar was opened.

๐Ÿ‘ƒ Aroma
Opening the mylar releases an immediate wall of pungent gas. The first comparison that came to mind was a racetrack: dense fuel filling the airways with enough intensity to command the room as soon as the package opens. Citrus punches through that fog of gas with surprising clarity, adding a brighter edge without overtaking the fuel. A chocolatey note appears farther underneath alongside an outdoor-skunk character that gives the aroma another distinctly earthy dimension. The persistence is just as notable as the initial intensity. Even after removing the flower, the empty mylar remained saturated with its aroma. Gas leads decisively, but the citrus, chocolate, and skunk surrounding it make the nose considerably more complex than straight fuel.

๐Ÿ‘… Flavor
Key Lime Pie was exceptional on the palate. Sour gas became the clearest flavor during my final re-test, spreading broadly across the tongue and developing into a substantial full-mouth coating. Floral and citrus notes remain intertwined around that gassier center, with the two shifting back and forth across the palate rather than settling into a simple dominant-secondary relationship. The mouth-watering response is strong, and the coating reminds me of rolling a small bite of dessert around in my mouth, where each movement allows another part of the flavor to come forward. On the exhale, a light sweet-cream note softens the sour gas and gives the finish a richer edge. That contrast between gas, citrus, cocoa, delicate cheese cake and cream kept the flavor interesting well beyond the first impression and was a major reason I repeatedly wanted to return for more.

๐Ÿง  Effects
The clearest effect for me was an uplifting shift that fit the rest of the experience extremely well. Key Lime Pie gave me a noticeably positive lift without distracting from how much I was enjoying the sensory side of the cultivar. More importantly, I kept wanting to return to it. For my own preferences, that combination of an uplifting effect and mouth watering flavor gives Key Lime Pie real staying power. It is the kind of cultivar I would confidently add to my personal entourage rotation rather than experience once and move on from.

โœ… Overall
Key Lime Pie stands out as one of the more memorable Heavyweight Heads releases I have spent time with from Goldflower. This Gorilla Glue #4 pheno brought together two substantial nugs, exceptional resin coverage, a remarkably persistent aroma, and a flavor that continued to reward repeated visits. The racetrack-like gas immediately establishes the personality of the flower, while citrus, chocolate, and outdoor skunk broaden the nose. On the palate, sour gas takes a stronger role before floral citrus and sweet cream move through a dense, salivating mouth coat. The COA documents 28.5% THC, 0.101% total CBD, and 2.98% total terpenes. Those numbers provide useful batch context, but they are not what made me want to keep returning to this flower. The combination of aroma, flavor, resin production, and uplifting effects did that on its own. This is exactly the kind of distinctive cultivar I want represented in my entourage rotation, and another impressive expression from Heavyweight Heads available through Goldflower.
