๐ Appearance
Sundae Zkittlez has the kind of bag appeal that makes you stop for a closer look before even opening the flower up. The buds carry deep green and purple tones beneath curling orange pistils, but much of that color is softened by a dense blanket of resin across the surface. The structure is compact without looking compressed, and the flower photographed especially well because the trichomes extend across the ridges, sugar leaves and deeper folds of the bud instead of appearing only on the most exposed surfaces. Under the microscope, the resin field showed a broad mix of clear, cloudy and some amber gland heads, with plenty of intact stalks still visible. It is another very frosty Indiva flower option on their menu.
๐ Aroma
The aroma moves in a much sweeter direction than some of the heavier gas-forward flower I have been working through recently. Sweet citrus and tropical candy come through first, followed by a softer creamy fruit note that gives the profile a dessert-like finish. There is a playful quality to it that fits the Zkittlez side of the genetics, while Sundae Driver helps round the sharper fruit into something smoother and more confectionary. The aroma is bright without becoming thin, and there is enough depth underneath the sweetness to keep it interesting after the initial candy impression fades. For me, it was the kind of profile that became more enjoyable the longer the flower sat open because the creamier notes started to become easier to separate from the citrus and berry.

Flavor
The flavor stayed very close to the aroma, which is always something I appreciate when a flower smells this inviting. Sugary fruit and berry lead the inhale, followed by a smoother creaminess that softens the finish and gives Sundae Zkittlez more of a dessert character than a straight candy profile. The citrus is still present, but it works more as a bright accent than the dominant note once the smoke settles across the palate. What made the experience enjoyable was the balance: the sweetness had enough intensity to be memorable, while the creamy finish kept the exhale smooth and easy to return to. It is a lighter, more polished flavor profile than something built around garlic, fuel or heavy earth, and that difference gives this strain its own identity within the current Indiva lineup.
๐ง Effects
This batch tested at 24% THC, approximately 0.07% CBD and 2.46% total terpenes, led by limonene, caryophyllene, ocimene and linalool. The experience began with an uplifting cerebral buzz before gradually settling into mild, comfortable whole-body relaxation. What I liked about the progression was that the physical side never became overwhelmingly heavy or immediately sedating. The mental lift remained present while the body softened underneath it, creating a balance that felt better suited to unwinding than shutting everything down. For patients who seek out very heavy evening flower, take note of this strain.
โ
Overall
Sundae Zkittlez brings a very different personality to the Indiva Cannabis lineup. Sundae Driver itself combines Fruity Pebbles OG and Grape Pie, while Zkittlez traces back to Grape Ape and Grapefruit, giving this cross a deep fruit pedigree before the flower is ever opened. That lineage comes through in a way that feels coherent rather than forced: tropical candy and citrus in the aroma, berry and sugary fruit through the smoke, and a creamy finish that rounds everything out. The flower also delivers visually, with excellent resin coverage and microscopy that shows a wide range of intact glandular heads across the entire leaf surface. What I appreciated most, though, was the overall balance. It looks potent, smells sweet and expressive, and still settles into an effect profile that remains comfortable rather than immediately heavy. Sundae Zkittlez feels like a good example of an indica that can provide relaxation without making sedation the entire point of the experience.
