๐Ÿ‘€ Appearance
Cherry Sourz from Sunkissed immediately stands out for the amount of resin covering the flower. The buds show a dense structure with a striking combination of deep purple, dark green, and brighter green leaves, while vivid orange pistils weave across the surface and provide strong contrast against the darker coloration. Even without magnification, the trichome coverage is impossible to miss, giving the flower a heavily frosted appearance across the photographed areas rather than limiting the resin to a few isolated areas. Under the microscope, that coverage becomes even more impressive. The surface shows abundant intact trichome glands with a fantastic mixture of clear, cloudy, and ambered heads spread throughout the flower. The range of maturity visible across those glands gives Cherry Sourz a developed appearance and reflects what I would expect to see from careful attention to harvest timing. The heads remain well defined throughout many areas of the flower instead of appearing broadly damaged during trimming. The flower also had a great stem snap during handling, which added to the impression of a properly finished cure. Between the dense formation, strong coloration, extensive resin production, intact gland heads, and the condition of the flower during handling, Cherry Sourz visually reflects the care put into growing and finishing this cultivar.

๐Ÿ‘ƒ Aroma
Cherry Sourz opens with a distinctly sweet aroma built around candy-like notes and bright citrus. Pink grapefruit fits naturally into the profile, adding a sharper citrus edge that cuts through the sweetness and keeps the aroma from becoming one-dimensional. Beneath those brighter notes is a lighter earthy character along with a subtle menthol quality that adds depth without overpowering the sweeter side of the strain. The citrus and candy notes remain the most immediate impression, but the cooler and earthier elements become easier to identify as more time is spent with the flower. That contrast gives the aroma more structure than a straightforward fruit-forward cultivar. Sweetness, grapefruit, citrus peel, light earth, and a restrained cooling note all work together without one element completely dominating the others. The result is an inviting aroma that carries enough variation to remain interesting and provides a good indication of the flavor that follows.

๐Ÿ‘… Flavor
Flavor was one of the strongest parts of Cherry Sourz for me. The first pulls brought through the expected sweet citrus character, but the profile became significantly more interesting after the exhale. Cherry Sourz left a fantastic, long-lasting mouth coat that remained across the palate rather than disappearing as soon as the smoke cleared. As I continued to aerate my palate after each exhale, the flavors actually deepened and became easier to separate. Sweet candy and citrus stayed at the center of the profile, while the pink grapefruit character became more distinct and added a sharper, slightly tart edge. Earthier notes sat underneath that brighter layer, followed by a subtle menthol-like finish that kept the sweetness balanced. What impressed me most was how persistent the flavor remained between pulls. Instead of delivering one strong initial note and fading quickly, Cherry Sourz continued developing after the smoke was gone. Each exhale seemed to leave another layer behind, allowing the following pull to build on what was already coating the palate. That lingering quality gave the strain considerably more depth than flower that performs well only on the inhale. The combination of sweet candy, citrus, grapefruit, earth, and the lighter cooling finish remained present throughout the session, with the sustained mouth coat becoming one of the defining qualities of this batch.

๐Ÿง  Effects
The effects came on very quickly, with Cherry Sourz making its presence known early in the session rather than requiring a long gradual build. That rapid onset could be particularly useful for medical patients who prefer effects that become noticeable without an extended wait. The first major change for me was a soothing, heavy body sensation that settled in quickly and created a substantial physical presence. Despite that physical weight, the experience remained functional. Mentally, I stayed clear and focused rather than becoming foggy or disconnected, and there was also a noticeable uplift in mood. That contrast became one of the most interesting aspects of the strain. The body felt heavy, calm, and settled while the mental side remained organized and engaged. I did not experience the physical sensation as something that immediately pushed the session toward sleep or made it difficult to remain productive. Instead, Cherry Sourz produced a combination of body relaxation, clear focus, and improved mood that felt balanced despite the stronger physical component. Individual responses to cannabis vary, but during this session the fast onset, soothing body sensation, mental clarity, and functional nature of the effects all stood out clearly.

โœ… Overall
Cherry Sourz from Sunkissed at Goldflower delivered a complete experience across appearance, flavor, and effects. Visually, the flower immediately impressed with its dense structure, deep purple and green coloration, vivid orange pistils, strong stem snap, and heavy resin coverage. Under the microscope, the abundance of intact trichome glands and the mixture of clear, cloudy, and ambered heads gave the sample even more depth and reinforced the level of care visible throughout the flower. Flavor was the standout characteristic for me. Sweet citrus alone would not have made this strain especially memorable, but the way Cherry Sourz continued developing after the exhale changed the experience. The long-lasting mouth coat, grapefruit character, candy sweetness, earthier undertones, and subtle cooling finish continued revealing themselves as I aerated my palate, allowing the flavor to remain active well beyond each pull. The effects matched that quality by arriving quickly, settling heavily into the body, and still allowing me to remain clear, focused, functional, and mentally uplifted. Cherry Sourz did not rely on a single oversized trait to carry the session. Its strength came from the way the resin-rich flower, developing flavor, and fast but balanced effects worked together. This is the kind of cultivar that becomes more impressive the longer the session continues, because both the palate and the effects keep giving you something to notice after the initial impression has passed.
