๐Ÿ‘€ Appearance
SubZero Warheadz immediately impressed me with its structure and trim. The flower form is dense, well-developed nugs with a clean shape and very little excess sugar leaf. Deep green and purple colors run throughout the flower beneath twisting orange pistils, while a heavy layer of trichomes gives the surface a noticeably frosted appearance. The macro photography proves how extensive the resin coverage is across both the sides of the individual leaves once destemed. Under the microscope, the flower opens into a dense field of mostly clear-to-milky gland heads with some amber visible throughout. The stalks and individual heads remain easy to distinguish, giving a much better look at just how resin-heavy this batch was. Between the trim, structure, color and frost, this was a particularly attractive strain from Reef.

๐Ÿ‘ƒ Aroma
The aroma brought together sweet fruit, tart citrus and a sharper sour edge that immediately gave SubZero Warheadz some personality. There was enough sweetness to make the profile bright and inviting, but it never became a straightforward candy strain because a noticeable fuel character sat underneath it. The sour and sweet-fruit combination was a bright change of pace compared with heavier profiles that lean almost entirely into gas or dessert notes. The aromatics were definitely present and enjoyable, but for me they served more as an introduction to what became an even stronger flavor experience once the flower was smoked. The contrast between fruit, tartness and fuel was already apparent from the jar, but the exhale is where the profile really came together.

๐Ÿ‘… Flavor
The exhale was the star of the show. The inhale started sweet and fruity, giving the first part of the hit a bright and almost juicy character before transitioning into a much sharper sour-fuel profile. That tartness had enough intensity to give the strain a real bite without completely wiping out the sweeter fruit from the inhale. What impressed me most was how long the flavor remained afterward. SubZero Warheadz produced a heavy mouth coat that allowed the sour fuel and residual fruit sweetness to linger on the tongue well after the exhale. I really enjoy strains with a noticeable sour factor, and this one delivered that character while still maintaining enough sweetness to keep the profile balanced and interesting from beginning to finish.

๐Ÿง  Effects
This was a heavy hitter for me. The batch tested at 30.6% THC, 0.0644% CBD and 2.98% total terpenes, with beta-myrcene, limonene and linalool leading the terpene profile. The effects developed into a very spacey and floaty experience, with a strong mental shift that made the potency apparent fairly quickly. It felt substantially heavier than the bright fruit and candy-like beginning of the flavor might initially suggest. As the experience settled in, the effects became increasingly heady and detached rather than particularly sharp or task-focused. Individual response can vary, but this batch landed firmly in heavy-hitter territory for me and had enough intensity that I would approach it very differently from a lighter daytime hybrid.

โœ… Overall
SubZero Warheadz is another Reef release that brings a wave of frosty flavor along with serious potency. The Sub Zero side of the lineage combines Super Boof and Oreoz, which makes this an interesting option for patients who already enjoy the brighter fruit character associated with Super Boof, while the Warheadz side helps frame the much sharper tart and sour direction found in the finished cross. What stood out most in this batch was how effectively those brighter fruit notes transitioned into the aggressive sour-fuel finish. The flower itself was beautifully trimmed, structurally impressive and heavily coated in trichomes, but the lingering flavor was what ultimately separated it for me. A sweet fruity inhale, pronounced sour-fuel exhale and long-lasting mouth coat gave SubZero Warheadz a profile with real staying power, while the spacey and floaty effects gave the experience enough weight to match the flavor. I particularly enjoyed the sour factor here, and this is one I expect to revisit in future batches to see how that expression develops from harvest to harvest. Reef has continued to put out consistently solid strains, and SubZero Warheadz adds another distinct sweet-and-sour profile to that lineup.
